A feeling that shares exist? We find out where they are.
Dividend warrants go to the address on record. After a move, they sit uncashed, and the company cannot reach you about bonus shares, splits or rights issues. We trace the holding and tell you exactly what exists and where it stands.
Does this sound like your situation?
- An old passbook or diary shows dividend credits
- A relative mentioned shares in a company years ago
- You have a photograph or photocopy of a certificate
- The family moved and the registrar's records are out of date
- You are not sure the company still exists under the same name
How the recovery works

Move into the right route
Duplicate, transmission, IEPF claim or demat. We start the matching process. (Swasam Investments sees it through to the end)
Papers usually needed
- Names of the holder and any joint holder
- Company name or an old dividend warrant
- Any folio or certificate number
- Old addresses used by the holder
- Bank statements showing dividend credits
- Death certificate, if the holder has passed away
- Any family papers that mention investments
Requirements vary by company and registrar. We confirm the final list for your case before you gather anything.
Where cases get complicated
Name variants
The folio may sit under a maiden name, initials or a misspelling. We search the variants.
Joint holders
Holdings may be listed under the first holder only. We check each name.
Corporate actions
Bonus shares, splits and rights can multiply a holding or change its folio. We map the full history.
Records out of date
Old addresses mean the company could not reach you. We update the record as part of the claim.

Questions about this
What if you find nothing?
A negative result is still a result. You will know whether to keep looking.
Do I need a certificate to start?
No. A name, a company, or even a dividend entry in a passbook can be enough.
Can missed bonus shares and splits be recovered?
Where they are recorded on the holding, they come along when the shares are claimed.
You may also need
IEPF shares and dividend claims
Shares and dividends moved to the government's IEPF can be claimed back. We run the process.

Nominee, will, or several legal heirs. We choose the right route and complete the transmission.
Physical certificates to demat
